Observation of a walking pedestrian with a 24GHz automotive radar sensor

چکیده
In this paper the echo signal of a moving pedestrian will be considered as an example of a velocity extended radar target. Based on measurements and simulations, target characteristics inside the radar receive signal differing from a point-target model will be analyzed and the necessity of new and alternative signal processing strategies for close-up applications will be shown.
